Allen Samuel Hussing, Jr. Obituary (1961 - 2023)

Allen Samuel Hussing, Jr., 62, of Masontown, WV, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at his home in Masontown, WV after a long illness. Allen was born on July 30, 1961 in Morgantown to the late Allen Samuel Hussing, Sr. and Martha Shaffer Hussing. Allen was most recognizable as a server at IHOP in Morgantown. He loved working there and would travel to other stores to help them open. He loved his customers and being around people. He enjoyed camping, and spending time with his family and his dog Hershey. Allen was also a baker and was talented at decorating cakes and cookies. He is survived by his sister Diane and husband Mickey Thrasher of Masontown; his niece who was also his caregiver Martha Ringer and husband Scott of Masontown; additional nieces and nephews, McKayla and Shawn Richards, and Isabella "Homewrecker" Ringer to whom he was more of a father figure, and Mickey, Joshua, and Nella Thrasher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Robert and Kenneth Hussing, and a sister, Karen Mayfield. A graveside committal service will be held at the chapel of Mt. Zion Cemetery in Masontown on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating. Those attending the service are asked to gather at the cemetery no later than 12:50 PM.
