Erik Shane Layton Obituary (1972

Erik S Layton, aged 51, raised in Core, WV, passed away suddenly at his home on November 20, 2024. He was born December 21,1972 to Thomas and Maryann (Phillips) Layton. Erik was a proud and respected member of the IBEW local 596, where he worked as a Journeyman for over 24 years. Erik is survived by his parents; fiancee, Kelly Shough; his sister, Cari Layton Cummins (Sean); nieces, Katie & Olivia; nephew Evan; and a large extended family including numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Even though at times Erik could be shy, he truly loved and cared for his family and friends. Erik's family believes he would have chosen there to be no services.
