Olive Ellen Johnson Obituary (1965

Olive Ellen Johnson, 59, of Morgantown, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 21st, 2024 at WVU Medicine - JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born January 19, 1965 in Kingwood, WV a daughter of the late Dale and Catherine (Greaser) Johnson. Survivors include: her son, Patrick Sheets; daughter, Patricia Sheets; grandchildren, Brogan Mathew, Emalyn Grace, and Marley Jane; brothers, Roger, Frank (Cindy), Joe, David (Candie), and Sam Johnson; sisters, Marie (Howard) Huffman, Ethel (Paul) Western, and Becky Fike; as well as several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death along with her parents is her brother William Johnson. Olive enjoyed crafting, spending time with her loved ones, and cooking. Her spirit shined through the Holidays, especially hosting Thanksgiving. Olive had a renewed spirit in the Lord and Savior. She was a confidant and a beacon of hope to many. Her bible was well loved, and greatly notated. In keeping with Olive's loving and generous spirit, came the decision to donate life - honoring Olive as a giving person, even in death. The Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the First Responders in Mon County, the MICU team at WVU Hospital, the CORE team, and Jason and Cathy Smith. Friends may join the family to honor Olive's life and legacy at Field Funeral Home, 10537 Veterans Memorial Highway, Masontown, WV on Friday, November 29th from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service officiated by Pastor Dennis Russell at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery on Dogtown Rd. near Reedsville.
