Samuel Russell Tucker II Obituary (1936

Samuel Russell Tucker, II, affectionately known by many as 'Uncle Sam', age 84, of Morgantown passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at home in Morgantown. Sam was born October 29, 1936 in Morgantown, to the late Samuel Russell Tucker, Sr. and the late Beatrice (Tissue) Tucker. Survivors include his four children Samantha Tucker, Jennifer Tucker, Jeff Tucker and Eric Tucker and his wife Gail; five grandchildren including Kaila, Brandon, Tarren, Danelle and Gemma; and three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Grayson and Taelyn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nora Danelle Donahue Tucker on May 17, 2017; and his sister Sally Jo Ridgeway. Sam was employed in the physical plant at WVU for 42 years as a heating and cooling specialist. He was a veteran of the US Army. He never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Sam always kept a jovial attitude with everyone and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. No services are planned at this time; however, Sam and his wife Danelle will be inurned together at a later date in the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
