"Mutt" Obituary (1972 - 2023)

Thomas D. "Mutt" Wilson, age 51 of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Morgantown, WV on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Born on September 11, 1972 in Morgantown, Mutt was a vibrant soul known for his humor, creativity, and skillful handiwork. Mutt is survived by his father, Thomas Wilson, Jr.; his three children; Karley, Casey, and Gunner Wilson; his sister, Lori "Toni" McClure and her husband, James; and his niece, Mary Elaine Reckart. His faithful companions, Maggie the dog and Priscilla the cat, will also dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his mother, ReBecca Elaine Wilson. Raised in Morgantown, Mutt was a proud graduate of Morgantown High School. His love for his hometown was evident in his commitment to family, friends, and the community. He was a beacon of light and laughter, always ready with a witty joke or a helping hand. Beyond his humorous nature, Mutt was incredibly creative and a gifted artist. His ability to draw nearly anything was a testament to his talent and imagination. If he set his sights on something, it would materialize under the deft strokes of his hands. His artistry was not confined to paper and canvas but extended to all aspects of life. His passion was not just for creating art but also for sharing it. He was always eager to teach others, passing on not just skills but also an appreciation for the beauty of creation. Following a private viewing for only the immediate family, Mutt will be cremated and placed with h is mother at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
