We offer a variety of burial services tailored to your individual needs and preferences:

Immediate Burial: The loved one is buried or entombed without a public service.
Visitation (Viewing/Wake): Family and friends gather with the deceased in an open or closed casket to offer support and say goodbye.
Funeral or Memorial Service: Held at a funeral home, church, or home, these personalized ceremonies celebrate and honor the deceased's life.
Graveside, Chapel, or Committal Service: Conducted at the cemetery, this service allows family and friends to witness the final disposition through ground burial.

The area's newest and most state of the art crematory

In December of 2023, Smith Funeral & Cremation Care opened SFCC Crematory.

Trusting your loved one with us for cremation services gives you the peace of mind of knowing that your loved one will not leave our care for any reason. We have five licensed crematory operators who all abide by a very strict code of conduct, making sure that your loved one is always treated with the dignity and respect that they, and you deserve.

We will not outsource our cremation to someone else, and we will always guarantee that:

a. Your loved one is always in our care, from their place of death until their cremated remains are returned to your family.
b. We use a multi-step process continue to identify your loved one through the cremation process.
c. That with 100% certainty you receive your loved one back after the cremation

d. We will always be staffed 24 hours a day 365 days a year, and be available when you need us.

e. We will provide you with caring and highly trained funeral directors and staff to answer your all of your questions

f. We will employee only licensed and continually educated crematory operators.

g. We use the Code of Cremation Practice, and give families service options specifically designed for a family choosing cremation.

h. Each family will be given the opportunity to have a final goodbye before the cremation takes place. Your funeral director will provide more information upon request. And finally,

Cremation Services

A common misconception is that cremation prevents the possibility of holding a funeral service or visitation. This is not true; you can still have a memorial service to celebrate your loved one's life, with many options available for honoring their memory. After cremation, you can choose from various final disposition methods:

Interment: Bury or entomb your loved one's cremated remains in a family plot, memorial site, cremation niche, or urn garden. Consult our staff for detailed interment options.
Graveside Service: Similar to traditional burial, this service allows loved ones to honor the deceased during the burial of the cremated remains with prayers and tributes.
Scattering: Spread the cremated remains in a memorial garden, cemetery, over water, or any meaningful location. You may also choose to scatter some remains while retaining the rest in an urn for interment.
Multiple Urns: Distribute the cremated remains into several urns, enabling family members separated by distance to have a nearby resting place for their loved one.

These options allow for meaningful tributes that reflect the individuality of your loved one.

Green Burial

We offer a variety of green burial services designed to honor both your loved one and the environment:

Natural Burial: The loved one is placed in a biodegradable casket or shroud and buried in a way that allows for natural decomposition and a return to the earth.
Eco-Friendly Burial Sites: Choose from designated green cemeteries or natural burial grounds that emphasize sustainability and environmental preservation.
Personalized Green Services: Combine traditional elements like a graveside service or memorial with eco-conscious practices to create a meaningful tribute.
